| 6/16/08 New - SSII Racing is sorry to announce that we have another injured skater who will require time off. Get well soon Lauren!!! Here is a message from her mother: Lauren MacDougall took a bad fall at practice a week ago. Lauren broke her left ankle and right wrist, she tried to avoid a skater down in front of her. Lauren flew into the wall, she tried to break her fall with her arm which caused the broken wrist and she twisted her left ankle. Lauren is in 2 full casts and confined to a wheel chair for approximately 8 weeks. She is unable to skate Nationals this year, however, she will be there to cheer on her sister Lindsey along with all the other SSII Racing team members. Let's wish Lauren a speedy recovery. Liz 6/11/08 - Pictures have been posted from Regionals and other meets from this years season, please thank Liz. 5/26/08 - Practice on Tuesday 5/27/08 is moved to Bonaventure. Congratulations to everyone who have placed at Regionals, moving on to Nationals. Most placement results can be found on the Hyper board. Some pictures have also been posted from Regionals and the Kentwood Meet, please thank Corky. 5/13/08 - Everyone at SSII Racing would like to say "get well soon !!!" to one of our teammates and friends, here is a message from his father: SS2 Speed Skating Team, This weekend, Traven shattered his left leg in 5 places while attempting to intercept and block his opponent¹s kick in the final soccer match. Currently, he is in a lot of pain and has a temporary cast until the Doctor gives him the permanent cast tomorrow. Meanwhile, he is out for soccer and speed skating until next season. If fully recovered by then, he will be back to his normal activities, which he already misses. I'll see everyone at the rink, next week at practice. Tri 4/22/08 - April 27th practice has been cancelled due to the Kentwood, MI meet. Entry fees are due on Saturday April 26th. Please see Liz if you plan on attending. 3/4/08 - Tonight/Tuesday Mar 4th practice has been cancelled due to the up coming snow storm. Robb says "do your off skate training!!!" and he will see you Saturday. 2/17/08 - Tuesday Feb 19th practice has been cancelled. 1/29/08 - Skatin Station 2 and SSII Racing would like to thank everyone who has purchased equipment from the rink for this years skating season. Supporting your home rink is important, everyone likes new roll on and clean carpets. Please continue to help make our home rink a great place to skate! 1/24/08 - Congratulations to all the SSII Racing team members who attended the West Palm and OBSL Marion Ohio Meet this past weekend, great job everyone! Please thank Glenna for the pictures from Marion. A special congratulations goes out to Coach Roy, Lauren MacDougall and Kaleb Broomhall. Coach Roy received the OBSL 2007 Bob Caldwell Coach of the Year Award. Lauren MacDougall received the OBSL 2007 Female of the Year Skater Award along with Kalab Broomhall who received the OBSL 2007 Male Skater of Year Award. |
